What Is Electronic Fill (E-Fill)?

Sterling Specialty Pharmacy will send you a text message when your prescription is due to be filled.

The text message will show you:

  • The name of your medication and strength
  • Your current copay and if there is a change to your copay
  • The address your medication will be shipped to

You will then be asked to confirm, cancel, or change your order.

Please note: If you enroll in electronic fill (e‑fill) and choose not to respond to the text message, Sterling Specialty Pharmacy will automatically charge the listed copay and ship to the address listed. (Restrictions apply: If your prescription is paid for by Medicare or Medicaid and you do not respond, we will not ship your medication until we confirm your order.)

What If I Am No Longer Taking My Medication or Don’t Want to Be Part of E-Fill?

Every patient has the option to unenroll from e‑fill by selecting the option on the text message or calling and speaking to a Sterling call center employee.

What If My Prescriber Changes My Medication—Will I End Up With Product I Don’t Need?

We will confirm that you are aware of the change before we send you the new prescription. If you are not ready to get the new order, we can reschedule the order.
